Unmount is a free KeyQuencer extension for removing volumes (disks and disk partitions) from the desktop. It will not unmount the startup volume or volumes containing open files. Attempting to unmount the startup volume or volumes containing open files will result in an error message, unless you specify the ╥quiet╙ keyword. Also, if there is no volume of the specified type, you will get an error message unless you specify ╥quiet╙.
╥Unmount ejectables [quiet]╙ unmounts all ejectable volumes such as diskettes and CD-ROM discs.
╥Unmount diskettes [quiet]╙ unmounts all diskettes.
╥Unmount CDs [quiet]╙ unmounts CD-ROM discs if the drive uses the Apple CD driver.
╥Unmount "volume name" [partial] [quiet]╙ unmounts all volumes whose names match the given name. If you specify the ╥partial╙ keyword, a partial match will be accepted; for example the macro ╥Unmount "Dev" partial╙ would unmount a disk named ╥Develop╙.
╥Unmount driver "driver name" [partial] [quiet]╙ unmounts all volumes whose drivers match the given name. For example, floppy disks use the driver ╥.Sony╙, hard disks formatted with SilverLining use a driver name starting with ╥.LaCie_SCSI╙, and the Apple CD-ROM driver is named ╥.AppleCD╙. If you specify ╥partial╙, a partial match will be accepted.
Known bug:
Under certain conditions, changes in icon positions on the volume you are unmounting may not be remembered. The conditions are:
1. You are using System 6, or
2. The disk is not ejectable, or
3. The disk has already been ejected.
